- Dry van 53' trailers (Angeti can get you in touch with a 3rd party trailer seller)
You provide:
- The Equipment - capable of accommodating 80,000.00 LBS (you must own a truck to be eligible for this job)
- Cargo and liability insurance (Our insurance, OOP pays for it)
- Copy of your license
- Copy of your medical card
- Copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- PSP (Pre-employment Screening Program) report no older than 30 days,
(available from: https://www.psp.fmcsa.dot.gov/psp/default.aspx)
- Current DOT Medical Card & Long Form
- Previous employer references
- Recent drug test (no older than 30 days)
- Physical damage insurance
- Bobtail (nontrucking) insurance
Qualifications:
- 2 year minimum CDL Class A experience within the last 3 years
- Valid CDL in the state of your residence
- Current DOT Medical Card & Long Form
- NO DUI's or DWI's in the last 10 years
- NO major preventable accidents in the past 3 years
- NO more than one minor preventable incident in the past 3 years
General Description (both company drivers and owner operators):
- Deliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer truck (own equipment), over intercity routes and/or spanning several states.
- Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
- Take orders for new deliveries.
- Drive long distances.
- Fill up on fuel.
- Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
- Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws.
- Inspect tractor before and after the trip, and record any defects found.
- Inspect trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects found.
- Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
- Maintain a log of trips, and duty status changes, according to FMCSA HOS regulations.
- Report serious mechanical problems to dispatcher.
- Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking.
- Get goods to client on time.
- Take rest periods during trip.
- Take special precautions while driving.
- Load / unload cargo NOT required
- HazMat NOT required
